Ziweto Ndi Chuma Cooperative

Ziweto ndi chuma Cooperative is one of the Cooperative formed under the Shire Valley Transformation Project (SVTP- 1).  Officially registered in January 2024, the Cooperative overseas the Mitole and Makanda EPA.

Strategically positioned within the territories of 39 Group Village Headmen (GVHs)the Cooperative operates under the jurisdiction of three Traditional Authorities (TAs), Katunga and Maseya, Kasisi, Mlilima. 

The Cooperative is reaching out to 2861 farmers (1255 males,1606 females) with a total of 17,126 cattle, 35,169 goats and 330 sheep from 15 business centers.  

Ziweto ndi chuma Cooperative society Limited will be producing Cattle, Goats and Sheep.
